.....or do they actually employ the majority of their staff from the Dennis Pennis school of customer service??

Infact, I took the trouble to email their customer service department, here is what I sent.....

I have had the misfortune of being a customer of yours on more than one
occasion now and am dying to ask if your staff go to a special school to
learn their customer service skills?

I have never encountered an establishment where every member of staff has so
little interest in what they are doing.

So, I just replied to that.....

It is the Norwich store and I can honestly say that at no time in the several years that I have had no other choice than to purchase from it, have I received anything that I could even describe as mediocre in terms of help.

Infact, on my most recent visit I VERY narrowly avoided hospitalisation when one of the staff (perhaps it was the store manager?) knocked over a very large and heavy Acro-Prop which would have certainly hit me had I not moved very swiftly.

I also recall on an earlier visit, one member of staff, whose attitude was so bad then when he single-handedly attempted to lift a generator into the van, hurt his back, then took it out on one of the posts in the car-park. Hurling a string of expletives and, I would imagine, injuring his foot quite badly.

Hardly the pinnacle of professionalism in my opinion. Incidentally, I would appreciate confidentiality in this matter.

been to the one in croydon several times, and to be honest, (unlike pretty much every other shop in croydon!) they've always been very helpful and competent.. maybe it's a northern thing. (i.e. north of london! )

Most of the staff at my local machine mart are well clued up on there stuff and always helpful, yours must just be shit.

Certainly looks that way.

Maybe this brief analysis has proved that it might just be the manager who is at fault then. That said, the store isn't exactly in one of the nicer parts of Norwich, so maybe that reflects on the catchment area of potential staff that attend interviews.

i allways find its the pakis that are ignorant arrogant fookers, really pisses me off they never smile never say hello just mumble the price and thats it, i ofter remark when i leave saying thanks for the kind friendly service

no the chester one is just as bad!

only shop there if i am desperate for a certain tool that they have in stock and no where else does as it is an hr round trip, they are quite well priced on parts tho but that doesnt make up for the truely shocking customer service that is oftern given.

it does depend who serves you tho, saying that tho i have never seen the same person in there more than once!

i've had nothing but crap off them.

Not the store tho, as they are fine, its the email customer services that are SO POOR.
