OMG PS3 in japan was 42000 yen.... thats about £220 , thats with a 60gb HD and 2 controlers+remote. and 1 game...

the psu states 110v-250v 50-60hz

so i thought i would buy 2.... and got home chopped the plugs off and put uk ones on...

happy days all good.... even PS 2 games all work fine.

im well chuffed....

i love my job.... as i get to travel the world and get payed for it. going back for more shows in june... and possibly more toys!!

When u play the ps2 games in it can u save them to memery card? cus in ps2 u cant save ps1 games.

A US PS3 won't play UK Blu-ray discs, just US and Japanese ones.
A US PS3 can only play USA/ Canadian PS1/2 games.
A US PS3 can play any PS3 game from around the world.

 

Ok cool, so i'm right in thinking that if I buy one from the US when I go over there in June I will be able to buy UK games and play them?!

Also i'd imagine they will be chippable to play *cough* backup games *cough* soon won't they?!

All PS3's can play any PS3 game. Sony actually realised that region coding encourages privacy.

Shame the stupid thick cunts don't see the same for the older games and Blue-Ray movies.

I am sure a mod chip will appear and someone will make a stack of cash from it.

 

rlue ray is what it says,... a blue ray,...

instead of a normal red ray which reads current dvd s..

the blue ray can read much much finer details on the disc, which in turn means you can fit a lot lot more on a disc...

 

Ah right ok have never heard of them before!!

Have been thinking simlilar, as going to singapore in June so was wanting to find out about the prices there, and if you have to pay tax to get it back into the country. Also wanting to know what the differance in spec is to a UK one.
