Default s1 back strutts

is there an easy way to get these fuckers off at the top .
been trying for a whole 20 mins tonight & just gave up, any hints or tips

Get a small flat blade screw driver or a pic,Then just ease the clip on the ball joint and pull.

You'll need to undo the bottom bolts aswell ideally.

I have had them out before without undoing the bottom bolts but its a right slag to do, undo the bolts it will be quicker in the long run

ive already got the 2 lower bolts off so the strutts just hanging there

If you don't have an air impact gun (whatever it's in english...), Try pulling strongly the bottom of the shock to the side while undoing the nut at the top. This way the shaft won't rotate.

yeah but i havet got no tool to get in about the bolt tried shifters spanners etc but no go, i'll try again today

JesseT i havent got an air impact gun but i'll try the pullin at the bottom of the shocker...thats the kind of answer im looking for safechav

Your meant to use a 6mm allen key in the centre of the shaft, but ive never had one whenever ive needed one, i find putting the ratchet on the nut and just sharply turning it will free the nut as there is a lot of resistance between the shaft and top mounting bush

well i got them off tonight by simply pulling the bottom of each shocker towards me & they all came off without a problem, a little tip for the future i think cheers JesseT

Most have Koni or other adjustable dampers that don't have the allen key hole or have something harder to grab.
