As ryan says it will take about 45 mins to an hour (if youve got an idea what your doing)
IMO the easiest way to get the box out is to
1) jack the fucker up as high as it will go and secure with something (pref axle stands although old wheels seem to do me fine )
2) remove starter motor and shit shield platefrom bellhousing.
3 remove clutch cable and spedo cable (and amal valve if there is one)
4) remove gear linkage.
5) remove the ring of bolts that hold the gearbox to the block
6) remove the 5 gearbox cradle bolts. (please not engine will be at a funny angle dont worry )
7) remove wishbone bit that bolts onto chassis (this wil allow you to remove the drive shafts without taking a load of other shit off!)
8) loosen anti roll bar bolts
9) remove drive shafts.
10)
get some one to push the top of the engine down while you (or other volunteer ) 'wiggles' the gearbox untill it falls down.
Job done.. good luck getting it back in

support the engine with a jack with a piece of wood on the sump, lower the jack and the gearbox should slide off then jack the engine back up till its straight, thats the way ive always done it

' it'll be fine ' never done any harm to mine yet (not that i know of anyway ) it is by far the quickest/simplest way of getting the box out
