Default My Rebuild - Updated 8/1/05

To begin with the ratmobile looked like this and was a dohc 4x4

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk....php?pic_id=82

After a partial strip down the it was looking a bit sad

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk....php?pic_id=87

So too make it feel a bit better some new toys were acquired

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk....php?pic_id=95

Whilst others were prepared for replacement

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk....php?pic_id=91

After then spending 3/4 weeks laying on my back, cleaning, sanding, spraying etc we got to here

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk....php?pic_id=96

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk....php?pic_id=98
http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk...php?pic_id=100

Some of the new toys where then prepared ready for fitting namely the Cossie 3rd rear beam and 7.5" diff

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk...php?pic_id=104
http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk...php?pic_id=105

And then bolted into place

http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk...php?pic_id=109
http://www.wiltshire-computing.co.uk...php?pic_id=110

And my new engine

No bother, when you put your image links up - put [img] before & [/img] after!

i.e. ----------->

Code:
[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/billycabrio/billycabrioPfBBsiggy.jpg[/img]
To get this...............

The boot badges are being replaced with "Sierra 1.6 GLX" badges once its been resprayed, only mods to the interior will be a pair of S2 90 spec front RST seats, cossie clocks and a boost gauge below the radio, externally some 5 spoke 17" rims, a 4x4 vented bonnet, saph bumper and side skirts are rear to fit. Engine is stage 1 but will be freshed up after a trial fitting in January

The look I'm after is the "Why has he bothered to put an exhaust and body kit on a 1.6" for that added bit of fun on the motorway

Good job m8, looking really good.
I think it's worth it to take good care of the underside, just to know that It'll last for a long time.

My cos at the moment has a rusty hole right above the big rear polybush )-;
(near the rearbeam if I use the correct word)
Have to do something about that next summer I'm afraid..

Proberly wont be running for 3/4 weeks due to lack of time, car should be finished for the summer though

I have the gearbox mounts to make as the shell is a 4x4 and the 3dr gearbox crossmember doesn't quite fit, some wiring and plumbing to finish, 4x4 incooler and rad to get in there

Then strip it again to repaint the top, why do we do this to ourselves
