Currently ive got my head away at NMS having a stage 1/low lag head done.
Myself and bud-wies are then going to rebuild the bottom end (probably retaining standard spec)..
when all done I was going to bolt my current old faithfull t34.48 but tbh it seems a bit of a waste.
So i was thinking of a bigger turbo to run as im ditching the 803's for some 403's. where am i best to get a bigger turbo from and what is the cost / bhp i can expect.
Would a t38 be the way to go as i would like something a bt different from a t34?
regards Jamie

Also what sort of cost do they command
Thanks Jamie
either set up t4 maram anti or GT35 roller you should see close on 500 hp with the correct map and correct internals and injectors without pushing either turbo to the limit !

You really need to decide on a spec asap mate
if we know what were aiming for then it can be built right first time and won't have to come apart in the future!
Do consider your transmission though,400bhp will kill standard 4x4,450bhp will kill even uprated stuff.......for over 450bhp you really need the whole transmission done with thick wall diffs etc.
if i were you i'd try to get a ride in Ad's cossie and see if that feels fast enough for you....if it is then go for the T34.55 from turbotechnics. if it's not then a T38 or a small NMS spec GT30 would be best (Karl has his own spec GT30's now that would be ideal for your car i reckon, but i think they are a little dear)
another thing to add to that price i gave you is the cost of a WRC gasket,Grp A won't be enough for anything bigger than a T34 for a very long time.....
As i say, either a power figure or how you'd like it to drive then we can go from there.....you may need more work done to the head too at this rate including new cams

depends on head spec, cam spec etc.
chasing big numbers is ok if you arent bothered about low end stuff.
personally, the head spec you have, std c/r possible (unless advised otherwise) and either a T38 (as long as the head / cams are ok to use with a T38) or a T34.63 would be nice and punchy.

Mmmm, Where do I start.......
Anything over 350bhp and it's starting to get expensive.....IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST, AND USE THE POWER REGULARLY.
Think Mountune WRC Head Gasket at 360 quid + Vat
Think Injectors.....Gray's at Least.
Head Work..... I paid 2k for this.
Cams, and don't forget, depending on what drivability you want, depends on what cam you want....leading to the possibility of having to have pocketed pistons.....and if you've gone that for, you might as well have low compressions ones as well.
Then of course the standard Intercooler will be totally useless, as will the mapping, so now you've reached about 5k, and you've still a long way to go.
T34 : Low Lag, Good Mid Range Power, Drops off at much above 6k, and on it's last legs at 330bhp.....Will produce it, but for how long.
T38 (Universal Turbos) Very Similar Characteristics to T34, but will continue to produce boost to 7k and over. Proven to give 430bhp with the correct other parts.....Head, Cams, Comp Ratio, Ancillaries, Intercoolers etc.
T38 (Turbo Technics) Again, Similar Characteristics, (Slightly later pic up)....but keeps going even further up the rpm range.....but do you want a good torquey engine ....... or a screamer.......and which will last the longest and be the most driver friendly on everday roads.
T4 I feel controversy coming by the truck load. But my opinion only ...............Best place for a T4 is in the Bin.
Anyone can build a 400bhp cossie engine, but it's building one that lasts.
