Default Kit car Project

My mate has a Raw striker kit car that weighs about 640kg, at the mo it has a naturally aspirated 1.6CVH tuned to about 120bhp (might be slightly optimistic), but he has been toying with the idea of going to turbo power along the lines of RST engines, he wants between 180-200bhp reliably, what sort of options do you reckon he has? I said maybe go for a FRST engine cos he can save space, but will a T2 have trouble at 200 break? also would this be the better choice for drivablility in the sense that the management is better?

so in all fairness all that i have said could be total crap, lol, but i wanted to know before i gave him the options, feel free to correct my discrepencies(sp).

HI,

I like the Strikers, nice cars.

I'd recomend the westfield sports car club, www.wscc.co.uk , for some info. There are a few striker owners on there and a couple of rst engined westfields.

200bhp is fairly easy these days without a turbo

Why does he want 200bhp?

A modified 2litre zetec pushing around 170bhp should be seriously fast in that car!

For a 200bhp CVH

On mfi - Large Intercooler, Chip, 15psi, Stg2 T3 and a breather system should see 200 mark, all depending on the state of the engine

Not sure on Efi engines, Guessing a set of Beiges, chip, map sensor, same turbo/Intercooler,psi and breather

PON, not sure why he wants 200bhp, i just think he has this idea in his head, i suggested a N/A Zetec, or dare i say a Honda VTI, something along those lines.

kik1.6se, awesome, i will pass that on to him, cheers

Pennywise, so it would deffinately have to be the T3?

Ive been told in the past that a T2 turbo would be on its limits for 200bhp...
