ok, i kinda think i have the answer, but just wanna confirm

take 1 2.9 sierra 4x4 and 1 200 shot of nos.

are we talking kaboom? LOL

if the fuellings right it will take it for a while(seconds)

im running a progsressive 100 shot on my ibiza cupra,takes it over 300 bhp and feels bloody quick.

Ive given standard engines 100% increases before with no drama.

You may need to either run a slightly higher octane fuel or retard the timing though.

Also - don't put a purge valve in - by not purging the system there'll be a little cushion of air before the gas - is a bit kinder to the rods

I would recomend building it progressively if you go for that sort of increase.

find a bloke called burgerman, he's done this and is fairly clued up on nitruos stuff

had a chat with him several times about doing this to mine but can't remember what he said

burger man is quite a clever bloke, but i dont really see what he is likely to be able to add to the equation that other people cant TBH.

If you want to speak to the real expert, have a word with Trev at Wizards of Nos, like myself a lot of what burger man has learnt has been assisted by Trev anyway, he is the real expert on nitrous, but something as basic as this users requirement doesnt really need to involve world authority's on nitrous cause its quite a simple thing to do.

i just want some shit box sierra estate with a V6 in it nitroused to the teeth to upset a few people round here

if a 200 shot gives what, 150bhp? then thats a 100% increase in power, so approx 300bhp from the car.. i know its only 300bhp, but it'll still be quick enough to cause upset lol

Thats the key thing, you will find that any nearly any engine will run cleanly on shots of greater than 100% (if using a decent kit) but you may have to retard the timing so much that you end up with it less effecient.

100bhp jets would probably give you over 100bhp on that engine, so might be worth trying that before you start wandering down the "diminishing returns" path.

Indeed, i think with anything engine related, you HAVE to actually give things a go to really understand them.

You cna only learn so much from others and reading, you have to back it up with experience too.
