I have got an Escort Cabriolet with a Fiesta RS turbo engine.

The car is turning over but is not firing up, I can hear the fuel pump prime, but there doesn't seem to be a spark.

It seems to be an intermittent fault, for example it won't start then abit later on it starts fine and will run for a few days with no problems then it will stop again.

I have replaced the Crank sensor and tried another coilpack.

Any ideas???

dicky fuel pump relay?

 

If it was the fuel pump relay wouldn't the fuel pump not prime?

 

tried swaping the edis on the wing??

 

No I haven't, think I might need to swap that!

have u tryed wigglin the wire that connects 2 the cps u may have a brake in the wire i had this problem on my car

 

mate did u ever sort the problem out? i got the identical thing on same car!!!!
