You dont have a regulator AT ALL?

If its does run fine it will mean you got very lucky choosing the fuel return pip size

no mate.

the 2 pipes from and the return to tank are connected either side of the fuel rail.

i just wanted to know if if would start without a fuel regulator, untill i get hold of one.

just wasent sure if it would stop it from starting?

No it wont, unless by some miracle the return pipe is small enough to cause pressure in the rail, but it would be dangerously lean if that happened.

Dont try to start it without a regulator

Without a regulator there is almost zero pressure in the fuel rail, so i dont see how it could be flooding as it will rely on vacuum from the engine to draw petrol through the injectors.

If it did fire it would run VERY lean, melted piston anyone?

DO NOT TRY AGAIN YOU BODGING CUNT

(no offence intended )

lol no offence taken

we also noticed the fuel pump is not priming, uselly its 2-3 secs before it goes off when ignition is switched on, but we noticed the fuel pumps on constant. guess this might be why because there is almost zero pressure in the fuel rail, could be wrong, but you can def smell petrol once its been cranked over a few time.

(dont worry wont be trying that again till i get a regulator)

unless the flooding is due to the megasquirt setup.

guess im gona need one of these

them dial regulators are good as it tells you the pressure, however quite expensive.

whats the webber one like just a small type regulator.

agree with chip, waste of money, just use a standard one off a cossie or similar.

oh and if yourte wondering WHY there's zero pressure in the fuel rail, just draw a diagram of your fuel system and you should work it out quite quickly

this the right one??
if so how do u fit them ass you can attach a pipe one side ok but think other side suppost to fit in manifold. which is no good for me as i have a custom manifold with fuel rail so i need a inline one.

potentially as you are mapping it yourself, you can use ANY regulator that is designed to work with positive pressure, so any turbo one basically.

Mate, buy a 2wd cossie one. Soem of that crap your looking at may not be rising rate, thus it will fit and idle, but when you come on boost you will have massive fuelling problems.

It must be rising rate.
