Hi Guys, i am looking to buy a nice sapphire cos.
Can you tell me what things to look out for, and also which is best 2WD or 4x4
Thanks for any replies
PS if you know any1 after a S2 point them in my direction

hi mate all i can say is from my experance is ,try and get lots of history ,past m o t s, check chassie number .vin plate get a hpi check, check panel gaps, all the normal stuff ,gear box should be nice and tight,listen for whining noises and overrun after ignition's been cut,could meen dodgy turbo,as for 2wd or 4x4 a have a 4x4 got loads of grip,2wd can't say never driven one, just be careful what u buy,happy hunting

I think the 2wd is the car of choice, yes you have to respect it but once you learn its limits then the fun of drifting can be yours.
If you buy a 2wd then all the same thing apply, other things to look out for though is 3 to 4th gear syncro which is a coimmon problem on the T5 gearbox. also look at the abs system too as these are pigs to diagnose if there is a prob.
fast ford or performance ford have done decent buyers guides in the past, or contact the RSOC registrar for some advice or he might even know of some cars for sale.

Thanks a lot you two i still havent made up my mind between 2 or 4 WD
I just can't decide its out RSOC this weekend tho so ill get chattin to a mate whos got a well sweet saffy and thats 2WD

Cheers that buying guides well useful
As far as the 2WD vs 4WD issue goes i will be using it only 2-4times a week and will be fairly short journeys but i would let it warm up standing still before i went anywhere in it.
Having that in miond which do you think would be best?
