I think the 2wd is the car of choice, yes you have to respect it but once you learn its limits then the fun of drifting can be yours.
If you buy a 2wd then all the same thing apply, other things to look out for though is 3 to 4th gear syncro which is a coimmon problem on the T5 gearbox. also look at the abs system too as these are pigs to diagnose if there is a prob.
fast ford or performance ford have done decent buyers guides in the past, or contact the RSOC registrar for some advice or he might even know of some cars for sale.
