hi mate all i can say is from my experance is ,try and get lots of history ,past m o t s, check chassie number .vin plate get a hpi check, check panel gaps, all the normal stuff ,gear box should be nice and tight,listen for whining noises and overrun after ignition's been cut,could meen dodgy turbo,as for 2wd or 4x4 a have a 4x4 got loads of grip,2wd can't say never driven one, just be careful what u buy,happy hunting
