Just when it was looking like finished...... *Update 19/05*
Found traces of oil in the x-over pipe and boost hose from Turbo 2 Filter. Fooked turbo?
Its done a grand total of 1.3k miles and about 99% of that on 10psi or lower

Rick - No Metering unit mate. And my breather is disconnected from the inlet.
I'll see how it goes on sunday to leicester, see how much oil is in there after 100 miles or so.

As its not and doesn't seem to be using much oil I'll leave it be for now. Keeping a close eye on it though. Fingers crossed heh
Andy he is quite correct, some....not most turbo builders leave the front seal out and put a brass object in.....therefor no seal....it solely relys on pressure to keep the dribbles in....
heard this from a chap that used to work for 'the turbo shop'
how true it is i dont know????????????

Even a standard T3 has an oil seal......

all you wana do is ring them and say why does my turbo not have an oil seal if a standard OE (original equipment) T3 does?
Right....
Spoke to Universal again and a very helpful chap spent 5 mins explaining this to me.
Basicly its a type of piston ring used, as oil seals cannot withstand the tempreture inside a turbo (makes sence to me!)
The vacume around the turbo determines how well these seal the oil inside. Large exhausts (low back pressure) can cause the turbos to spill oil out of the compressor housing
but this is the norm and traces of oil in boost pipes is acceptible.
Final words where.... worry if its puffing oil out the back. Which it is not!
Any comments people?

Yeah, the piston ring is the oil seal (as they are in engines) so i duno why they are trying to be clever about it.
I dont see how their explanation of low exhaust pressure can cause the compressor housing housing to spill oil???? (unless you mean the exhaust side spilling oil which makes sense)
Annoying when the different people on the end of the phone tell you something different everytime isnt it

Yeah it is. Although to be fair i was probably saying the wrong words
End of the day they said its perfectly normal to have traces of oil in the boost pipes just watch out for anything out the exhaust.
I've just been looking at a boost pipe i had sent off to have a copy made (another story) and its clean as a whistle so might be worrying about nothing anyway
Cheers for the advice though!

Its not un-common to get oil in pipes as long as when you take the pipe off you dont need something to catch it in, if you catch my drift......
There are people that don't get any oil in there pipes (never me i might add
)
Go on.......share this other story
You've started so you may aswell finish

lol ok.........
I had a boost pipe made up to move my air filter out of the way of my oil cooler duct (see resto thread
) but it silenced all chatter from the turbo. Not having that, so i've moved the oil cooler and just having a new boost pipe made so the filter comes off the turbo as straight as possible..... so more chatter
Hence me finding all this oil in boost pipes
