Ive read articles in magazines years ago about turbos, and from what i understood even the lowest spec turbos had a basic oil seal, and i thought that was the whole pressure principle, being the gap in the seal was so tiny there wasn't enough pressure for oil to pass.

Even a standard T3 has an oil seal......
