Yeah, the piston ring is the oil seal (as they are in engines) so i duno why they are trying to be clever about it.

I dont see how their explanation of low exhaust pressure can cause the compressor housing housing to spill oil???? (unless you mean the exhaust side spilling oil which makes sense)
