It's not mate as you can't balance it. Just T3 the car, best thing I done to mine by far and even if you buy the T3 brand new the conversion is loads cheaper than getting an exchange T2 if you DIY it

think i saw a guide on fast ford , do you just change the turbo or do you need the intercooler ect also, turbos been smoking the last week or so replacing the head very soon ( making bad noises ) so its the perfect time to sort the turbo

You need the T3 and manifold as well as the down pipe of an Escort RST to be cut and shut with your original exhaust. You will also need the Escort RST top rad hose if you want to keep the turbo's watercooling (many people don't bother). Aprt from that a whole load of spare boost hoses you can chop up to mate your intercooler to the turbo.

I did mine over a weekend.

Good as gold although the Ł25 turbo failed misserably shortly after fitting. I knew it would but didn't want to be lifting my brand new hybrid in and out in case I bounced it or something else daft

It's on a 55mm spring kit at the mo on brand new standard Ford Shocks (Koni TA's will be added at some point over the Summer). I'm afraid I didn't get more pics of the work as we kind of just got into it and the batteries in my old camera didn't last long. There are 4 13mm nuts (2 accessed from the bay and 2 from underneath. Then you just have the 2 or 4 Phillips screws on th eback edge of the bumper.

Don't do what I did though and drop the bumper
