cossie wheel bearing help

Default cossie wheel bearing help

hi folks. use to use this a bit but aint been on for a while.had to reregister and now im a virgin again!!!!anyhow.trying to replace i front bearing on my 2wd cossie and im a bit stuck.spent ages finding a socket for the hub nut but now it wont come off.any advice would be much appricated as its currently on the drive on axle stands and i really need to get it finished.cheers

there a bit tight are`nt they

think the o/s is left hand thread

if its still tight its gonna need some heat on it, think i clamped the hub by the wheel studs in a vice(using soft jaws) heated the nut and spun it off
with a windy gun

or u can put ya studs back in and use a bar between them to brace it to the ground , so u can get lots of power on it , i do that before i take the hub off if they need pressing in ,,

They are tight

I use someone pressing the brake pedal,aslong as your brakes are on the car!

Long breaker bar then,they do come undone in the end

Stupid torque figure when you put the new ones in too,around the 300NM mark IIRC
