Default leaking inlet maniiold gasket QQ please

recently I have had a hesitation problem and a holding back problem I have now found the fault I hope. would a leaking inlet manifold gasket cause a hesitation problem oh its on a 2wd cosworth

Yes. I had a similar problem with my old 4x4 and once the new gasket was on it felt like a new car....

it sounds promising . my problem was i just lost power and had a hesatation problem wher it would jerk a few times befor picking up and even when it started going it didnt feel right .realy hope this is my problem

spray wd40 along the manifold to see if it IS leaking!


ps do NOT use carb cleaner

when i ad a fooked inlet gasket it was popping when not accelerating.

little flames coming out the back too.

my one is popping a little. and some times whistle and my boost has also dropped from 2bar to 1.6 I sprayed crab cleaner on my suspected area and the revs went up .a new gasket and a plenum spacer would do me nice

I use carb cleaner to check for inlet leaks as above if its leaking revs pick up

Never done no harm on cars, but me bike was addicted to it lol

changed gasket and it fixed my air leak. but the hesitation problem is still ther it does it low rev and when flat out other wise if just crusing the its fine its like i get to pops then fine agine every time i lift of the throttel

have you checked the plugs
running an air leak can cause it to run rich there for fowl your plugs

because that has all ready be done befor i did the conversion i have booked it in to go back but only for a set up to be sure its ok. this only started happining only last week its some thing stupid but need to sorte it. the plugs are perfect in coulor Basky

i gaped them to see if it helps it did stop the back fireing a littel but problem is still ther
the tps is my suspect back not 100% suer what do you think

personally i would try new plugs then look else where
cossie ,s do tend to spit plugs especially when run rich
wot gap have you tried

If the gasket is bad or gone you should see it,does it run bad or not as it should on idle?
