Default What should a Cometic head gasket look like?

This may seam like a silly question, but my engine builder has just returned my dads Cossie head after sorting out some broken studs etc in it. He just looked at the gasket and said that aint a Cometic head gasket.

After looking at it, it has a name written on it Herd Rintez (spelling and i carnt be arsed to go out the garage and check!! lol)

Iam not gonna name and shame the company at the mo, but the set i bought is sold as;

"New, Cometic head gasket set inc. Grp A YBO 611 gasket"

Cheers for any help

Ross

Just been out to get the gasket, its got "Victor Reinz" written on it.

Its got to go back anyway as around one of the water chanel holes it has some of the sillicone coating missing.

Ye agree with fordsportjay

I got my head gasket set from woodford that consisted of a cometic multilayer head gasket and genuine ford all other gaskets
