my system aint worked for ages and mots up next month so i decided to have a grin and see whats up with it tested everthing loom, resistance in the sensors at the ecu ect found 3 sensors not sending a volt to the ecu . so i strip a sensor out and clean up the seating area start getting a reading but not a strong one any ideas to y this is happening whats the best way to service the abs or shall just rip the lot out ?
dont remove it because it works well and is a good safety net! for the MOT i'd suggest removing the bulb or taping over the light but that IS NOT SAFE and people will frown on you for that. its a quick fix to pass an MOT but ideally get someone who knows what they are doing to help you
a proper mot place will know that it has abs, so they need to see the light come on at ignition on and go off after roughly 5 seconds. taking the bulb out therefore also results in a failure. i cleaned up the earth points on the hubs and the sensors, and it sorted it
