HEEEEELP
RS had a oil leak so this evening i dropped the sump and changed the gasket. Started her up, she idled for about a minute then cut out.
so restarted it and it wont idle, just coughs and then cuts out
What the hell have i done?
car revs as normal just wont idle.
when i did the job, i removed the starter, droped the exhaust down, drained the oil, removed the sump, refitted the sump with new gasket, refitted starter motor, bolted the exhaust back up, filled up with oil and that was that. It doesnt leak oil (yet
) but cuts out
please help with some ideas someone
cheers

It's not sealed properly - have u checked all breather pipes are on properly, that u've not knocked one? The crank case is connected to the metering head via the breather pipes. So if something isn't sealing, it will suck unmetred air in and run lean and stall.
Aye sure does sound like a vacumm leak on da biatch. One bit of air sucking in and these things won't idle. As said check all pipes are not loose re-check sump for leaks etc.
