rick supirsingly enough i know what im talking about

the stuff from VWP/RS/Farnell has a melting point of 110C hardly high is it (the braid they sell is polyester based)

plus the weave on the braid is very loose and doesnt cover the wires all that well.

i spent several months of reasearch trying different brands and weave counts

For purely a cosmetic appearence its ok, but why not have it so it serves a purpose as well as looking good

the best stuff to use is megamide. but its only available in reels.

i.e not off the reel.

you could cover it in heatproof tape, or in PVC sleeving which also has a much higher temp rating.
