Back to work 2morrow after being off for two weeks - and to a new job

Well kind of new : going back to work for Autoglass after I left them in Aug '05... Feels kinda strange I can't say I am "fired up and looking forward to it", but at the same time it's not like I'm dreading it kinda thing..... I'm a bit half n half really - looking forward to earning (half) decent money again and getting a works van, and working with some people I really like and get on with, but at the same time not looking forward to working on dirty cars, getting wet and cutting myself all the time

As with any jobs there's always a plus and minus to it, just hope it's more plus's than minus's

Probably won't be out on the road for a while yet Mark (hopefully anyway) as I kinda engineered a little deal to secure me the base fitter job, so I get to work inside most of the day.... But you never know

rear view mirror on the ka fell off 2day

dont know if you can use screen bond to put it back on tho or will i have to go frds and get a new sticky pad ?

 

Just need a new sticky pad mark - you can get em in pretty much ANY motorspares shop for a couple of pennies - no need to go to Fords.... To be honest all it is, is a little rectangle of double sided foam tape.....

If you get a new pad, just scrape wheats left on the screen off and use alcohol cleaner to degrease the area.

Best thing to do to get the pad off the mirror is rud the flat surface on the pavement - keep going till you can see shiny metal across the whole rectangle. Clean that with alcohol cleaner aswell.

Apply new pad to mirror, then stick to screen hold it with a little pressure for a 30secs or so - good as new

you tell me what volvos are,,,,,,,,,, i know em as volvo t5 estate,,,,, the v70 thats the same as the estate,,,,,, the 7 seater thats a estate with 2 seats bolted to the back and the new xc90,,,,,, thats a wanna be BMW,,,,,,, they should have stuck to the estates

 

Don't matter tho does it - you got an EPC there
