Default Problem whilst training.....

Only restarted going to the gym last saturday (3rd) I do 60 minutes on the cross trainer (average of about 140-145 spm, burning around 950 cals so the machine says, with a heart rate of around 140 throughout the 60 mins) followed by 10 minutes "cool down" on the tread mill and then 15-20 minutes on weights/floor exercise.

Now a couple of times I've suffered with sudden head aches almost like I've been stabbed in the head with a knife after a while the pain passes (I don't stop the training) but I'll suffer for the rest of the day with a niggling slight head ache.

Now I was nearly 21 stone at the start but I do a physical job so I'm no means unfit just over weight imo.....lol, I've lost 9 lbs in the week (going everyday to gym and doing the above everyday).

Has anyone else suffered with the above?????

CheeRS for any help

SteveB

Main thing I've cut out of diet is chocolate and greasy food....... I have a very sweet tooth so ate a lot every day but have cut it to nothing now.

Light doesn't effect me at all.

May be dehydration as I tend to get headaches if I don't get enough water whilst exercising. Keep water intake high at all times and see if it helps.

UPDATE.....

Drank 2 bottles of 500ml water today and yesterday (and worked slightly harder all round) whilst training and I haven't had any head aches....... fingers crossed it was just a little dehydration....

Cheers

Thats called hard work - keep it up!

Steve - i pulled a neck muscle before xmas. It didn't hurt during the day but any bench pressing made it unbearable. You may have twinged something. But if it helps with extra water you may have found the answer.
