Its what I call reverse anorexia!
I still see myself as as that 9 stone skinny runt thats no different to anyone else. Not such a bad thing I dont think as it means I'm not a cocky git that thinks he's better than everyone else.
Its quite normal imho. You strive to be bigger and therefore you will never get to a shape you are happy with as you could always grow and lift more. Its the bug bear of the sport I'm afraid.
The only change I tend to notice is when I have lost size or strength. and if you feel like that, don't ever do gear!

I was hooked on the size thing for years and when I came back from uni I was always half a stone heavier each term. Ended up just under 18 stone at one point.
It's the complete opposite now, my working and family life have taken over and I train in my garage when I can. I weigh just under 15 stone and just concentrate on trying to train and enjoying it.
There are days when I see pictures of others or see another big guy in the street and I do cast my mind back and wish I was into it again.
Hopefully one day I will be...........

This has happened to me, yeah
I only started weight training earlier in the year. I've always eaten a lot, but never seemed to put on any weight. I was 6'4" and 10 and half stone. Now I'm 12 and half. Being tall, there's a lot of me to fill out and I'm still far from being big. But after about 6 weeks of starting weight training, I hadn't seen my sister and brother-in-law for a good 3 weeks, and then when I did see them, they both commented on how I'd got a little bit bigger, especially around the chest and shoulders.
At the time, I hadn't noticed any gains, but I'm starting to now from when I started as I've gained 2 stone, but still a long way to go from what I want to achieve, but it's a good start

I think the best way to over come this is to take pictures of your self and put them away for about six month.
when you feel like that, revert back to your pictures to notice the differences.
