This has happened to me, yeah
I only started weight training earlier in the year. I've always eaten a lot, but never seemed to put on any weight. I was 6'4" and 10 and half stone. Now I'm 12 and half. Being tall, there's a lot of me to fill out and I'm still far from being big. But after about 6 weeks of starting weight training, I hadn't seen my sister and brother-in-law for a good 3 weeks, and then when I did see them, they both commented on how I'd got a little bit bigger, especially around the chest and shoulders.
At the time, I hadn't noticed any gains, but I'm starting to now from when I started as I've gained 2 stone, but still a long way to go from what I want to achieve, but it's a good start
