MEAT,FISH,CHICKEN,MILK,PENUT BUTTER,OATS,LOADS OF WATER,etc

basically the weight gainer shakes just have a lot of calleries in them, if your wanting to bulk up i would recomend about 3000 cal per day and 5 - 6 proper meals

yep pasta is good, when your bulking you want to eat LOADS but trying to use the good natural fats from milk etc not from chocolate, it is hard to eat that much as im trying now but after a while your body gets used to it, which normally is when you change to cutting but sh1t happens, about foods not to eat, well the healthyer the foods the less your going to lose when you cut, hope this helps. try www.bodybuilding.com for ideas about nutrition, whats good fats, good snacks for work etc etc

I would strongly avoid pasta in large quantities when trying to bulk. As your training will be resistance based little of the energy you gain from pasta will be used, as resistance exercise for bulking will prodomently use your ATP-PC energy system, not your glycolytic system (energy derived from pasta is used in this sysem). However, if your were endurance training then i would reccomend it, as endurance exercise prodomently uses your glycolytic energy system. Anyhow, as a result of using little of this energy it will be stored in your body as fat, something which you obviously dont want. But no harm in some pasta, and stick to wholemeal, it tastes the same

The secret to gaining weight is simple, to have a positive energy balance (consume more calories than you use). This was highlighted above by Fast Ford by him suggesting you eat more calories than the average male consumes (average male consumes 2500). However, what makes up those calories is important (how much is carbs, how much is protein, how much is fats etc).

Hope that helps, I could go on forever but want to kep it simple, good luck
