Get a new Fiesta MK6 2.0 duratec ST engine from ford (i can get 1 brand new for aout £2000) And you can run way up to 300-400-maybe even 500BHP!
Depends on how much you wanna spend really.
Get in touch with Pumabuild for something pushing over 200BHP.
But all that power is not really needed in such a small car, and the Puma 1.7 is very tunable (around the 200BHP mark), and that will be enough power to drive about in every day.
I'll be getting a 1.7 Puma lump in mine at the start of the year.

It's getting there, slowly but gradualy.

It's come a long way from being a 1.3 flight.

I've got a loads more stuff to do yet.

Should be finished for next year's show season.

Gonna stay in over the winter, save hard and get the 1.7 puma engine with bits and bobs and all the bodywork sorted all before the Donny show in april.

Magazine feuture?

I bloody hope so...

200bhp from the 1.7 will be the fatter end of £8k from Pumabuild.

All the tuned 1.7's i've seen have had poor torque apart from the TB'd ones.

I'd be tempted with RST power..be a bit cheaper too.

Jamsport did a Z-S a while back with a zvh in, looked sweet when I saw it

yeah i thought of zvh lump transplant but was more tuned in with the idea of van akens conversion zetec turbo but then rallyeslag points towards puma engines, to be honest a zetec turbo conversion may be too heftier money for my budget but got an offer on a brand new st engine for 2000

k mate useful stuff that unaware they tilted duratec to fit it must look pretty gash. i am having a carbon bonnet custom made now with my nick on it (dizzee) which has leds up under so it lights up pretty nice huh one of a kind like. but asides if your willing to max your motor you gotta have a bank account like the saudi's arabs so go the whole hog i must

No, i'm off to Fiesta In The Park, at Wicksteed park, which you should be at also!!!
It's only 15mins from Santa Pod and i live about 15 mins from santa pod also, so if you wanna meet up somewhere in the afternoon, then i'll meet ya, if i'm home from Fiesta in the park that is.

Your getting a carbon fibre bonnet made up eh?

So it's costing you about £2500 then, as thats how much custom made carbon bonnets are, because there aint any for the MK5 and no1 has had 1 made yet.
I'm hoping to get 1 made up in the future, but it will cost loads, as their not as popular as saxo's focus's etc.

Your carbon bonnet idea sounds really chav, what with dizzee and the LED's.

That'll be a bigg NO NO on the scene, and you'll get the pi ss ripped rather than respect.

Subtle is what people like, as less is more!

yeah i hear that geezer but i would be aquiring bonnet at cost as a mates brother works for sunseekers making boats and has recently began making bonnets of the carbon fibre kind.hes also gonna do buckets from carbon with built in speaks and so on, gave me some new pedals sunday to test.

aint no chav the name lit up is only about 3 centimetres which personally i dont think is in your face and im going for originality as well as tracking it.

forgot fiesta in the park was on

Hi guys, I'm currently building a 2.0L zetec fiesta.

current spec: Gaz Adjustable suspension
17" dimond cut alloys
st170 300mm front brakes
2.0L focus rear disk conversion

I'm using a silver top 2.0L zetec engine form a mondeo. This will be mated to a ib5 gearbox.
Hopefull this will run a sweet 150bhp when it's all in a mapped.

I know handeling won't be as good as a puma powered fiesta , but I will be able to have zetec turbo power later on 200+bhp

whats your plans now dizzee?

Sounds too fast, and sometimes, too fast can be silly, especially for every day road use.
I'll stick with my Puma-Plans for the time being.
That'll be enough power for me, and i'll still be able to beat ZS's and Paxo's off the lights/on the straights.

Good luck though

i liked the van aken fez i see at the park today flip painted one sorry no reg. had some lovely curves on the body at the mo i have made a few interior and exterior changes to mine and saving a shed load of cashola so when my paintfume filled head clears i will be able to say bosh thats how i wants it bur all your ideas and projects sound excellent and i hope they come together. it helps imo to share info. my next steps will be uprating suspension and braking system in place so it aint all one big hit but i'm sure whatever i produce over the next year will certainly be original and hopefully inspirational in one way or another. cheeRS guys. rallye did you like it at kettering today i made it as per changed plans turned out to be 300 mile round trip

Yeah i really enjoyed FITP.
I was on the Fiestaturbo stand, dunno if you saw my car?
i was there from 7:30am-5pm, and got burnt in the procedings.
Fooking excellent day, weather wise and there was loads of nice fezz's.
I did'nt look at any of the other cars, like ALL the focus's and escorts etc.
You going next year?

Erm. Yes they can. I would hate to use my RS for work everyday now. I'm a child and can't help but be heavy footed. It spins the wheels without trying in second on a dry road and 5th if it's damp. Too much like hard work controling that everyday. It's fun for a while but the novelty soon wears off. Hence my Audi A4.

Saying that I'm selling that to fund a Fiesta RS Turbo. 200bhp should be fine for day to day use
