exhaust manifold heat wrap...
can you heat wrap the standard cast iron exhaust manifold on a frst without any issues? as ive heard that it can make it rust due to condensation??

The condensation only happens during the first 5-10mins of the engine running.
Once its warmed up and water residue will vanish due to the extreme heat casued by the turbo.
Wrap it up mate or get it ceramic coated

cheers, ceramic coating would be cool but prob cost more than i really wud wanna spend on that at the mo as ive got the whole top end off at the mo for a rebuild (aswell as a few other bits n bobs) . is there any particular type/make of wrap to get and roughly how much do i need? thanks!

Roughly i would say to ceramic coat your manifold you would be looking at Ł140.
To wrap it then you will need a roll of of thermo-tec which is no more than Ł30 and use some stainless steel lock wire to secure it in place.
The only thing i can say is that it does breakdown after a while and become brittle, so you can find yourself having to re-apply the stuff.
