It was my brothers fault I only went over to my Mum's to say hello and pick up a couple of bits. My brother announces that he still has the head and cam from his old engine. (His car was taken to bits for a rebuild but the block was dud and he ended up getting a complete engine leaving him with a spare head and cam).

Before I knew what had happened Noo and teh old head were stripped and the stock cam replaced with his spare Kent CVH35. What a difference, she just pull all the way up the rev range

good to hear they make an obvious difference in performance
im still not sure wether to go newman or not. you had any experience with them? just ive heard horror stories of kent and pipers wearing out after only a 1000 miles. although that could just be down to the owners not running them in properly.

Would have fitted it had it been one. Free cam isn't to turn your nose up at

i've had a kent cam die after 76 miles ( kent cvh37) and i know how to fit and run in a cam properly there blanks are utter shite sometimes you get lucky and you end up with a cam that lasts..
newman all the way for my new build i have just changed to a newman ph4 280 zvh cam, only hard bit is setting up the solid lifters, but i have fitted quite a few newman cams so i dont have any problems just time consuming..

had a 34 and 35 both together go in less than 250 mile, perfect oil pressure and setup and run in correctly, but after speaking to kent they said they would replace the cam for me as they know their's a starvation problem with the cvh engine, they all go on the same lobe, relitively good service on their part though to offer the free replacement.

I would go for newman if i were to replace again.

If the Kent lasts then it's a bloody good cam but I'm aware of the issues with both Kent and Piper blanks. Have to say if I was buying my cam new I would be seriously looking at the Newman.

What do you mean? Your dash fell out last time you brought your car over
