Default FAO: Fiesta owners with 15" OZ Superleggras

Hi,

Im just about to order a set of these wheels but am wanting to know the best offset to order, in terms of minimising rubbing/wheel scrubbage. The car has been lowered 30mm.

IIRC the best offsets are between 35-40, what is best to ask for?

What have you got on yours?

Cheers

I think the problem a few people have is that the rimsa re 7" wide - im going to try and get 6.5" wide ultraleggeras.

How much work to roll the arches? Is it a big job?

Got ET40 rims at the mo, but 5mm spacers bringing it down to et35 and they're fine - wonder what width the cossie rims are though, will have to check.

No you don't mate. You have ET35 rims at the moment Cossie rims are 7" wide. Rolling arches is a pile of piss mate. Bit of heat on the paint, a dolly, a small hammer. tap tap tap.

SAPPHIRE cossie rims are 7x15........................................

Only silly people put ET25 8x16's on thier Fiestas I'm fairly sure AGAR wants his fiesta to go round corners. He has 4x4 Sapph sharktooth 7jx15" ET35 alloys. Thank you and goodnight

I was under the impression they were ET40 cossie rims - as i asked here, only one reply though could be wrong: https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...934&highlight=

But i did require 5mm spacers on the front to stop the inner lip of the alloy from rubbing on the suspension struts - ie bringing down the offset to ET35 i believe?

If what you say is right then the front offset wil now be et30 - i am confused But its looking promising about the width though, i have bugger all rubbing with them.

Ive heard some bad reports on the weakness of Superleggras, and Rab you know how poor the roads are about here, hoping ultraleggras will be stronger - anyone know? Want to get these ordered asap!

Oh and Mike this is why

Will probably need to trim the inside lip of the bodykit too - mayby do it at the same time then?

Get the ultraleggaras. Just because they're cooler. The superL's production stopped for nearly a year due to bad castings.....

Just get decent tyres on them, ie, not Falkens are they have zero rim protection on them

And I am convinced the Saff alloys are ET35. MY rs2k alloys were ET40, and when I tried a set of 2wd saff alloys on there was an extra few mill of clearance on the inside of the rear arch. Rubbed on the outside though The saff alloys are 7J, the RS2k are 6.5J. Hence, the Saff alloys must be a lower offset

Still waiting to confirm on here the cossie rim offset, then i can get the alloys ordered, but probably not before i blow all my cash on other bits on the car - so its likely the alloys will be left until next month to buy.
