Im stupidly considering another project, does anyone know any good sources for parts? it would have to have the round XR lights so i need a good source for parts, i know they are proper rare!
I presume fitting an RS Turbo engine isnt too much of a nightmare! anyone done it? what was involved?
any extra info would be top

This is my one, Its a bit different now, I have got rid of the 17s, in the pic, got black 15s for it, Also fitted a high spec 1.9 turbo engine! as the last one went up in smoke!

that was the first thing we both said id rip off and throw in the bin if i'd bought it.like i said the owner seemed a right messer.it was advertised as BUY NOW Ł2500,which was expensive for what it was...........it had no m.o.t,buy the matey said he'd put one on for the buy now price.I told him give us a few days to wait for my loan money to come through.When i had the money i went on to ebay click on the buy now price.............HE'D REMOVED THE BUY NOW OPTION . The auction was due to end at about 00.20 in the morning.the car had only made about Ł1800 quid with 5mins to go.my bro puts in a bid for me of about Ł2650 (which was way over what i wanted to pay for it anyway...........and guess what..... I WAS OUT BID!!!!!!!.I was out bid by someone who had opened a NEW EBAY ACCOUNT AT 2355!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now tell me,whats the chance of a brand new account holder giong straight out and spending Ł2700 on a mk1 fez,ON A SUNDAY NIGHT,AT FUCKIN MIDNIGHT????????????????????????? THE GEEZER blatently bid on his own car.After id lost the bid,i was glad,cos i wouldnt of felt happy buying such an old car,FROM A MESSER.Who knows what id found on it when i got it home.

Yeah you could say you did the right thing, I bought it for 2300, I had to trailer it home cos I wasnt driving all the way to aberdeen on a fiesta with 17s! the engine didnt last a week, blow up!, It sailed its MOT tho!!!! LOL,
I would pretty much say it was the worst car I had driven with the 17s, But now with the 15s and a few suspension mods its alot better.
So fitted after the engine going bang I put in a 1.9 engine and spent a heap of money on it and its making a good 220bhp, and all the faults have gone!

I take it you have a large spec under the bonnet? Care to share whats under it?!
As for the Rot It was at the top of both the doors, and is in the process of getting sorted!! But apart from that I think I have fixed everything possible!

sorry to hear bout the engine mate,like i said i knew it would have been a bad buy.
I WOULD BE WELL GUTTED having a ONE OFF car,knowing that theres another one that looks almost identical id be getting mine in the spraybooth sharpish...

you should have made a body kit out of it instead then you could of compared your bad boy bodykit,with the bad boy corsas up at guildford cruise.....YOU would of looked the part mate

I had a wee sport with my bird off a roundabout (private road) she was driving a Evo 8 FQ300,its running about 320bhp It was from about 35mph upto about 110, shes not a bad driver and the fiesta was side by side all the way, Maybe a better driver in the evo and less wheel spin from me, would have been a better indication, but i was happy!
As for the pics, im offshore just now, and dont have any out here, but when I get back I will post some more up!
300BHP in a mk1, that will be loads of fun!! What engine set up you going for?

Custom oil breather
Greddy BOV
HKS Rear Muffler
Lots of other bits and bobs - mainly all custom built.
Needs its cranks seal doing as its been leaking since i picked it up from Field Motorsport, and it needs a map to get it through the MOT. Once its been run-in Field Motosport are confident its well over 300bhp.
Even now it tears my arms off when it comes on boost and thats only at 6psi... final boost should be 18psi.

The Zetec head and CVH head both have different pros and cons.
I personally like the power delivery the ZVH produces. It really depends upon how your driving style and what characteristics you want from your engine.

oh yer i agree with pros and cons with both heads and same with bottom ends i personaly like the 1600 cvh engine produces owesome power with the right comp, head/cam, turbo and a few other bits my old fez tub was very laggy up to 4000rpm then ALL! power all the way up to 7000rpm was such a buzz trying to holding it on the road

Hmmm..... FOOKING great spec! 300bhp, that will be loads of fun!, what are you using the car for? Drag, track or just fun on the road?
