help please , willing to pay
im in desperate need of someone who really really knows the engine management side if a Silvertop escort
im really at a loss and bloody confused
the injectors wont fire , there is a permanent 12v at them all when ignition is on , which is correct . if I use a noid light they are getting a signal ,
if I put a earth to them they will fire
I can only assume that the negative which Is switched is poor
I have a spark so I assume crank position sensor is good
I have checked the 3 earths at the ecu and all good
I have a string 12,4v on the live side
im stumped. truly stumped. , if anyone knows a way forward please let me know , happy to pay for a phone call. , just stumped

without someone looking at the car in person your just guessn the problems ir may or may not have.. the other thing is you bought it without it running so you dont know who may of been messn about with it or touchn stuff etc if you get me.. i break escorts and sometimes when a 3rd party has been messing around with them there are very time taken to get them going etc

The light appears to be a red herring. The ecu I have does not have pats internal.
the pump runs. I have a good spark.
so Im assuming there is no immobilisation iissue.
the car was running when parked.
there seems to be a signal to the injectors as the noise light flashes. But I dont think its strong enough.
move now ordered another ECU. And a crank position sensor.
could the injectors all be at fault ?

when you say someone in person looking at it ,,, but what would they do , I can test most things , I just need someone to tell me what to test for in a order
if all fails ill have to throw a grand at it and buy a stand alone ecu and wiring harness
update with additional information
so today the cam sensor turned up so I replaced it .
cranking over with the injection rail out I noticed 4 damp patches on the rocker cover.
so I re checked the fuel rail pressure and can confirm 3BAR at crank is present
I can feel the injectors clicking a little as I crank and see a ever so slight mist but not enough .
is it likely ass 4 injectors are at fault ?
is it likely the ecu is sending out a really weak signal to the injectors
just to go over the things I do know
the 3 earths to the ECU are good
The lives to the ecu are good
I keep hearing to check the engine earths . I can confirm I have a bloody great jump lead also to the engine so earths are very good
also the injectors have a permanent 12v live , the negative is switched , as they are plastic housed injectors the earths to the engine cant effect the injectors firing

it mudt not be getting enough fuel so could be injector fault how ive no idea as rare for 4 to go off at once but just them sitting there out when u crank engine you should see and smell more then just damp patches will be wet patches..
