You sure? The guy im picking the car up from told me there a bastard size terminal and not round???? Its a n reg 1.6 petrol if that helps

definately round, i've had a fair few mk6 escorts and they've all had round battery terminals

Im breaking a gti at moment with round terminals and as john above stated my old rs2k was square

both I had square ones then got round ones just have to change connectore

most batterys have round posts now , I don't think it really matters as you can change the terminals really easy and can pick up a set of round or square cheap off ebay or Halfords

Square in all mine, but then most of them have/looked nearly as old as the car. As above, no big issue whatever it is, adaptors are a few quid
