Default First paying "customer"!

I'm a driver by trade but i do like cleaning me cars! This isn't exactly concours!.. It's my misses cousins everyday car, she uses it on the school run, to ferry kids about, going down to her horse and general dogs-body car!! As you'll see from the pics, it's a sea grey 08' plate galaxy, with general dirt and scratches, but after a good 3 hours out the front, it came up half decent! Any comments welcome! Cheers for looking!

And after the bufty session, it looked like this!

Cheers Jay! I use a cheap jet wash to pre rinse with some car shampoo, sort of like snow foam but nowhere near as good! Then i agitate all the shut lines, badges, and little nooks and crannies with a small brush, then rinse off, get a bucket with some cherry car shampoo in and use a micro fibre mitt to go over the whole car, then another rinse off with the jet wash, chamois the whole car, then i only had time for one going over with Autoglym super resin polish, usually i'd use a couple of other wax's but didn't have time! Just used our normal vacuum cleaner to do the inside, again, if i would've had time i would've used an uphostelry shampoo on the seats! I'll try and take a pic later of all my "kit"! It's all pretty cheap stuff to get really!

Cheers James! I think it took me just about 3 hours. I would've liked to have got the interior a bit better had i had more time, but she needed the car back! and not being funny, she'll be ferrying her kids around in it again so it'll get just as bad in no time!!

Tbh.. I hate that stuff with a passion!! It was on my misses streetka when we got it about a month ago, and it's still making my sponges bloody mucky now when i wash the wheels!! Rather just leave them natural looking! Each to thier own though!

for another half hours work youve wasted 3hrs doing the outside. first sign of rain and its going to wash all the srp off and be left with what you started with, probably worse as youll have runs from the srp everywhere.

It don't bother me really! It's not my car, and did you see the state of it before?! They usually take it to the bozzo's anyway! Extra money for me! Remember it ain't a show car, just an everyday work horse!

I seen the state of it thats why i says its going to be the same after it rains. Im not sure you understand what srp is. Its a filler. All youve done is mask the scratches/swirls on the car. The rain will wash all the fillers away and youll be back to a scratched/swirled car, therefore no money as its pointless to get you to do it again for one wash. How much did you charge out of interest

I've used srp for 20 years and it's always given me good results. As i said, if she didn't need the car back i would've done the other coats, but as i was doing it as a favour, because they're always seeing me do my car, i couldn't say "you can't have your car back yet". I didn't charge.. They offered to give me what the bozzo's charge. Never mind mate. Does a mod wanna change the title of this thread as i seem to have given the wrong impression to people!?

Looks like a good job, they are a nightmare to do with all the seats ect

Shit gets down all the seats and runners, you have to fold the seats forward to get under them, and the carpets hold more dirt than gandis flip flops

I have one were i just do the inside and its a 3 hour job,i hate doing it as its normaly loaded with dogs hairs and sand in the carpet

Cheers Al! She's got 3 young kids that clamber all over the inside anyway, and put thier chocolatey hands everywhere! all i did was vacuum the best i could and as you said, so much sand stuff and hair ball things stuck in the carpet, along with the melted sweets/chocolate in the runners! It was only a favour to a family member anyway! I'm by no means a pro! i drive 10 hours a day so only get to do mine and the other 3 cars in our house at the weekend! Cheers for the comment fella!

considering , time , products , and car to start with mate i think you did a fucking teriffic job ....

yeah i get what jambos saying ect , but i understand the limitations you had ,

and anyway , if you sealed it you wouldnt get to do it all over again lol

ive a black passat thats wovered in swirls n scratches , and the most that ever sees is the local jet wash and a coat of srp if i can be arsed , yeah i could invest in a mop , sealers ect , but frankly i hate doing it lol

but yeah , very good job there mate all got to start somewhere

Cheers fella! I use all the stuff on my car anyways. As said before, i'm not a pro or nuffin!.. Just enjoy cleaning my motor to the best of my ability Tbh that galaxy has probably never seen a bit of wax in it's life! I doubt the bozzos wax it! She said it's the shiniest it's ever been! If she brings it back i'll give the outside the hd wax treatment aswell. I think i mislead people in the title of the thread anyway! By no means can i do a pro valeting job.. The first time i've ever received payment for cleaning a motor, and thought i'd share the results! Cheers for the comment Beefy!
