Just done my ST in Colly 915. Sets like concrete and beads really well. Have some 476 as well, but prefer the 915. Just dont try putting it on when its under 15 deg c or you will have a bitch of a job to wipe it off. VOE !!

Jay if you want some let me know, its not cheap and its not as easy as wax to apply, but it 10x better than any wax for durability.

All the tests done by the usual guys on the detailing forum say there's nothing in it, or the Collinite is a little more durable. The Gtechniq does give marginally better beading, but not really worth the extra cost and hassle.

A few people have used C3 over 476, which is a bit extreme, but should be the ultimate in protection.

As for 476 vs 915. 915 is a little more bling, but a little less durable. In both places it's pretty marginal for me and whilst 476 isn't really designed for show, to me it still gives a good finish and excellent beading.

For a £15 wax it's still unbeatable.

Collinite as already mentioned. I prefer 476 as I find it easier to work with compared to the 915. Collinite was first produced to protect pylons from the elemnts believe it or not!

Only other wax I use in the winter is FK1000P. Amazing stuff!

Collinite is probably the better buy not doubt, but HD wax will do the same so no point buying colly
C1 is miles ahead of colly and hd wax, in fact any wax on the market on it smashes there durablity 10 fold.

Just use a basic hard wax like dodo juice... Can't remember exactly what my underside is waxed with but it's a dodo juice hard wax and is still on there strong after a year.

I don't doubt the C1 is good stuff. The few Gtechniq bits I've used so far are top notch, but I'm coming to give my truck a going over for Winter and to be honest it still appears as well-protected as it was two winters ago after prepping with Carlack 68 Sealant and 476s. Have only given it a quick going over with a QD since.

I don't disagree with what you say about C1, although not quite to that extent.

But I found HD Wax to be very average when it came to durability and certainly wouldn't bead up like Collinite does two years later.
