Just had mine back and i want to treat and protect the fresh paint job.
Its obvoiusly diamond white, what products do you recommend ?
Could do with a wax/polish that stops brake dust from sticking to the car escpecially down the sides
Also got some overspray on the dash , whats the best to remove this ?
advise/links would be great

edit - when i say i just got it back , i lied LOL got it back in Jan 2008 and its been in the garage since
going to get it out this year deffo and i want to treat the paint, its been covered up and taken a few times for me to work on and its getting dusty
so hence my question LOL

What are we supposed to be looking at
Cant see any pics matey?
As for the over spray, if its still fairly frest i.e 1-2 days old then get a reg and simply wipe it with thinners. If its older the thinners should still remove it although it will take some effort. Maybe try it on a hidden area first just to make sure it dont melt the dash

If it has literally just been painted you cannot wax it yet as you need to leave it some time to allow the solvents to come out the paint, best bet would be to ask the body shop how long it needs.
It can be polished but you need to make sure it is just a polish and not a polish/sealant like AutoGlym Super resin polish as this will trap in the solvents and you will get solvent popping from the paint and it will need repainting if you get this.
Again ask the body shop and to be honest its best to leave it till they say its safe to work on.

have they used water based paint or solvent? in fairness you be able to polish straight away,iv flatted my previous cars with 2000 grit wet and dry and machine polished with g3 as soon as its come out the bodyshop so i wouldnt worry about applying wax or polish, use autoglym super resin followed by autoglym hd wax thats what i use on my white s2 and it gives great results
