If it has literally just been painted you cannot wax it yet as you need to leave it some time to allow the solvents to come out the paint, best bet would be to ask the body shop how long it needs.

It can be polished but you need to make sure it is just a polish and not a polish/sealant like AutoGlym Super resin polish as this will trap in the solvents and you will get solvent popping from the paint and it will need repainting if you get this.

Again ask the body shop and to be honest its best to leave it till they say its safe to work on.
