Right i bought a fiesta from the auctions last year as runabout.......

Its a real good car and solid, the bit what lets it down is the faded red/pink paintwork......

The door shuts etc are still a nice bright red but the rest of the car is faded pink/red tho.....

Tried tcut colour restorer and made it a bit better but no-where near red tho.....

I don't know much about paintwork etc, i'm more mechanical minded so any help would be appreciated.....

p.s. the girlfriend bought me a car polisher for christmas and that did'nt help much either with the tcut......

 

Right mate you need some FARECLA g3 rubbing compound and some FARECLA g10 rubbing compound and a machine polisher is you polisher like this one


it a heavy duty one it best for this type of job you need G3 and a spray bottle of water as you need to keep the surface wet as you rubb the g3 on as it is gritty if you let the surface dry it will scratch rubb it on for a few mins Then buff off with the polisher section at a time once you have done a panel use the g10 to get rid on any fine scratch marks from the g10(use just like a polish no need to wet the suface with g10)buff the g10 off with the polisher and then use whichever polish you use i recommend meguiars NXT gen tech wax i was a car valter for 8 years and have done this to many faded cars i does work but its hard work and will take you the best part of a day but will sort your paint out

Find out if polisher is dual action or rotary, hopefully dual action, much safer without a paint thickness gauge £££'s.
G3 and G10 is a bit old hat now, but I suppose for softer ford paint be ok, can't fault Menzerna, is fantastic.

 

menzerna intensive polish applied using a german applicator pad will do the trick mate. I used said products by hand and got these results on a mates pink/red audi

watch out for hollograms aswell as theres a bitch at night lol

 

Looks nice that... what about the wing mirrors?? did you forgot them? look abit off shade.

 

i painted the mirrors mate, although they went pink then got some electric mirrors and sprayed them up, there ok atm, car now neeeds doing again aswell lol. the worst part was the bonnet.
