the water detail alone is amazing

 

love that game!

 

Wish it supported widescreen though, very bad for a modern game like that. Still very fun and I cant wait to get all the parts for my new builld.

It is a brilliant game, but you'll need a top graphics card to play it

i was playing black & white 2 the other day

and a mate walked in as i was zooming out on the world

HE WAS GOBSMACKED

 

badcompany, yeah but it would be so much nicer if we could run the game in native widescreen so ínstead of downsizing it to a normal aspect ratio.

I guess its quite ok to run 1600x1200 on the 24" but me with the 20" can only run 1280x1024 instead of my monitors native 1680x1080.

 

And here's me, forced to run in 1024x768 (mix of medium/high details) due to my computer not yet being powerful enough to ramp the res & detail right up!

 

what graphics card are you using mate

and dont you feel sick at 60hz

can you not get to 100hz or closer surely be better for your eyes lol

 

256MB 6800GT, but I think it's the combination of old CPU (Athlon XP2600+) and slow unbranded DDR RAM (despite it being 2GB) that slows it down, not the graphics card...

Desktop runs perfectly at 1600x1200 @ 85Hz, not sure what frequency the game runs at.

New spec should see it running a bit more smoothly (I like understatements ):

Athlon64-4000
2GB cas2-3-2-5 PC3200 DDR2 OCZ Platinum RAM
2 * 512MB XFX GeForce 7800GTX XXX-Edition (I really will have no money left after buying these )

 

Still havent decided what mobo and graphics for my build, had all other parts for two weeks.

 

Any of you guy's got the special forces expansion pack ? I'm just installing it

I haven't bought it yet, possibly after Xmas (am hoping prices may drop a little)!

And the original system I spec'd up had an Athlon FX-57 CPU, which currently retails at Ł730, instead of the Athlon64-4000, which is about Ł240......definitely have had no money left, if I'd decided to go with that!

taking sometime to get used to but getting there and will be good once i got to learn about the weapons again

 

just got 2 more gig of ram to run it .but it wont work

acording to the techey that builds it gonna boost my ram to 6 gig

via mulit treading BUT IT WONT WORK

MB wont recognise the ram
