For those that upgraded to the 5 from the 4s any regrets now its been a few months??

 

Nope, still love mine.

 

They get to say look I've the latest I phone in the pub lol can't see it doing any thing I'd need that my 4s doesn't do! Same as my 4s doesn't really do any thing my bb 9900 dident

 

Why would anybody have any regrets, its better than the 4s

Apart from actually being able to find apps/games that you want.

 

I wouldn't bother JUST to have the 5 but needed a new phone anyway.

 

I have the 5, its the same as the 4s just a little longer

My trusty 3G has just died, I now need a phone so thinking a 5 might have to be done

 

The very little extra you get though does not justify the cost.

I have one, but only as I got it for a very good price, no way would I buy one outright or pay any more on a contract.

Between the 4S and the 5 there is very little difference.

Imo, the only exclusive feature is 4G, which is only avaliable here at the moment IF you are on 'EE'!

There is no gurentee other network will be able to have it as there is only tri-band LTE!

IF it's a 3G and not an 'S' then it's defiently worth upgrading.

3G is very dated, and is limited in what you can do, i.e. IOS upgrades ceased long ago, therefore you are missing alot of the features from the later revisions of the software that is avaliable on the rest of the range, i.e. iCloud, it can't even multitask!

Ginge if your just after a cheap upgrade the 4s is a really good bit of kit,just like a 3s but a little bit better in every area.
Feels solid too,dropped mine quite a few times and it's still working great,battery life seems superb too.
Like the 5 but the deals on the 4s are just too good to ignore.

 

I don't have a contract but I can get 5 for 36 quid a month and 4s for 30 so seems its best to go for 5

My phone was just a 3G as I have a iPad 2 and 3 with mobile net and missus has a 4s

Never been into contracts tbh but my phone won't charge so need a phone and refuse to buy one if it costs the same monthly

 

Not worth worrying for £6,I'd do the same.
Mine stopped charging too,was shit down by the charging port then the stupid little twat I was on nights with ripped the charger out without saying and fucked it up forever.
Gutted,got a ton of pics I need to get off it too,might have to buy a cheapy 3G and try and swap the memory chips around if poss!!!

 

You can buy another 'charging dock', this is where "iCloud" comes into it's own, but like I say not applicable on the 3G!

Got a 4s and a 5 can't really tell the diff if I'm honest and I us both everyday lol

 

Only 1 reason I can think of why you carry 2 phones,,,,,, you have a lot of friends who need help with carbon fibre questions lol

This is the exact reason i went from the 3GS to the 5, my chrager port gave up and I was in need of a new one. I only paid £100 for the 64G handset as well so thought why not.

I bought a charger port off of ebay for around £3 and replaced it on my tea break at work (15 minutes give or take) and the phone charged back up and i just "bumped" everything over to my new phone. Took a while but worked.

Apart from the extra 1/2 inch screen, no lol but then under the skin there are differences, i.e. A6 processor for the 5 vs A5 of that in the 4S.

Going back and people said the same with the 3G and the S, both identical visually, but delve deeper inside and the two are seperated, the latter has double the memory to start with, hence why it can run the latest version of IOS and multitask etc.

Keeping it topical think of an L6 and L8 for example, lol.

The same applies with the 4 and the S, both the same externally, yet the 4S has a better processor, 8MP camera, 802.11 G/N network capabilities, Siri, I could continue but you get the picture.

People say that there isn't alot of difference to the predecessor which is quiet true, but then thats true of any other new phones on the market.

It's like Windows 7 and Windows 8 lol, but then theres plenty of suckers who will be upgrading to Windows 8 because it looks different, when really there are only subtle differences.

Hugely different if you have the hardware to take advantage of it. I dont recall windows 7 working remotely well with a touchscreen



Thats the problem with new things people only know how good they are if they know how to take advantage of them to the full extent

Hence this thread is pointless as not many people use their phones to their maximun capability

 

I do, that's why I haven't traded in my iPhone for an android
