new pc fresh copy of nero 6, thought i had all the right updates installed but got this error when trying to add the video file to nero??

WHAT DO I NEED?

 

convert the AVI file to an mpeg.. there are loads that can do it.. go to www.versiontracker.com and do a server for avi to mpeg converter or get hold of VCD Gear think that can do it!

 

yes but isnt there a bit i can download for nero for it? allways used nero in past on me old machine never had any probs

you need to use nero vision express 2 or 3 to encode it from avi to dvd or vcd format.

in the middle of doing that mate on package 2 as we speak

 

nope still not got the right add on, have nero 6 ultra and vision express 3 now

still same error, i need some kinda update but wot the fook is it

 

on nero 6 it comes up with mpeg 4 decoding not available so i need somin updated

 

Firstly, I rename the file to just blade3.avi What are you trying to burn it as ? A VCD ? A DVD file ?? What was the file originally encoded with ?

 

dunno what encoded with i dopwnloaded it, ive tried burning to both vcd and dvd no go

 

as said ineed another update for mpeg 4 encoding etc, i know ive had it before on my old machine so musta got it somewere
