Ok so im a bit sad but is anyone else as excited as me waiting for a release date? My iphone 4 contract is due for a new handset

 

Are they going to be calling it a 4s or a 5 then?

Not seen any confirmed specs etc yet, so nothing really to be excited about.

May well upgrade my existing iphone to one if they can add in new and innovative features like having a decent aerial!
Thats literally the only thing I want different TBH, perfectly happy with it other than that!

 

Doubt I'll upgrade my iPhone4 this time round, can't see it being radically different to be honest.

I don't have a contract (well, I do for my works Blackberry), so just buy the handset when one takes my fancy. I don't necessarily buy every new one when it comes out, I often skip a generation when it comes to phones if there's nothing majorly improved from one version to the next.

I'm perfectly happy with my iPhone 4, but will wait and see what the specs of the new one are before making any decisions.

 

I love my iphone (not intimately) but it's been doing my tits in recently with regards to sending and recieving txts, seems to be a problem whereby someone will txt me and I may not get it up to a few hours later...and also can take a minute or two to send some txts, sometimes works fine sometimes it's just a pain.

 

Take your sim card out and leave it switched off for about 15 mins see if that helps you bud.

Im waiting for 02 to bring it on contract, my 3Gs was due and upgrade the 5th of last month.

 

i beleve one of the plans was to make a 4s and a 5 with the 4s being a cheaper model so there are two tiers of iPhone! either way i want a 5 but we probably won't find out till end of september/october

 

Will give that a go mate, tried just turning it off as that fixes 90% of iphone problems apparently!


Yea I thought the network thing too, i'm with o2. I've heard Apple are great just need to find the time and book an appointment!





P.s. if the iphone 5 is like the concept in the video (seems a bit TOO advanced) then i'll sell my left bollock, my micro machine collection AND i'll be good all year just to get one!

Ditto, I always skip a generation with apple stuff. I went from the 3G to the 4, and will probably wait until 6 before getting the new one.

Their handset design team need a kick up the arse, looks no different to all the previous iphones!

THats IOS 5 release date.

They normally show the new phone off maybe two or three months before its actually released.

Strangely, nothing this year.

ive got a 3gs at mo and is upgrade time.i know its dated now but have ordered an iphone 4.its identical i know apart from looks but love the better camera and flash.my 3gs has been perfect for me for 2 years so hoping the 4 will be ok aswell and by the time upgrade is due hopefully the 5 will be out and all bugs ironed out

 

i'm in a similar situation, my contract is up on the 22nd of this month and i'm very much swaying towards getting a iphone 4, i know there's a big chance that within a few weeks the 5 may come out but look how many issues they had with the 4 when that was 1st released! the 4 will do everything i need, i'm not one of these folk who needs the latest toy that's just been released, anyway if it was to be as thin as that one in the video above i wouldn't want it as i'd break it the 1st time i put it in my pocket!

why don't you terminate the contract and get a pay monthly sim for a 3rd the price and keep the i4 and save yourselves some money

I remember reading something similar, because of the problems with the 4 they went ack to the drawing board with the phone.

 

You will be v happy with the upgrade. The screen and the camera are both LOADS better, and make the upgrade worth it alone.

 

I agree with that too the camera quality makes all the difference.

Lol let us know what you think compared to the 3GS, I compared mine to a 4 in the apple store and the screen is the biggest difference

I use a phone to mainly text, occasionally browse the net, take pictures and rarely make calls. Just thought the apps could be fun with an iPhone. Im currently using a HTC HD2 which Ive had for about 2 year now and its been no bother, even with a smashed screen.

 

Whut? It's a perfectly good camera for day to day use. I've got a 'proper' camera for 'proper' photos and the one on the iPhone is more than good enough.
