Are they out now then? Im due upgrade and do fancy an iPhone to see what all the fuss is about

I use a phone to mainly text, occasionally browse the net, take pictures and rarely make calls. Just thought the apps could be fun with an iPhone. Im currently using a HTC HD2 which Ive had for about 2 year now and its been no bother, even with a smashed screen.
