If you think the htc sensation is even close to the quality of the iphone 4 you're very much mistaken. The sensation (which I owned for 12 days) didn't even come close to the quality of an 'old' iphone 3gs, let alone the 4

These iphone clones even have some better specs ON PAPER but the iphone is a pleasure to use and fun, all the other replicas/wannabe's are boring and fail to live up to their 'better' spec.

And as for the s2 that's even worse than the sensation gotta love the look of the s2 pmsl, big fail in the hand, looks like a £30 replica of the iphone 4. My son got something similar on the front of a magazine the other day

Shit screen? Lol, now I know you're joking. The display on the 4 is amazing. My old 3GS' battery life was better than the sensation too.

Size is obviously personal preference, but suffice to say there's a perfect size for a phone with a 100% touch screen. After using the s2 it felt too big for me, if bigger is better then I guess you can only hope the s3 is the size of an ipad

Some people just don't get the details. The review comparing weight ffs? The samsung is better because it's lighter? It's lighter because of the cheap plastic feel! The 4 is heavier because of the high quality front and rear glass and a metal frame! It's a moot point, might as well say a casio digital watch is better than a rolex because it's lighter. Just goes to show a review like that is bollox.

I get out there and review these products myself, never again will I take as gospel an online review/comparison, it was an online review saying the new HTC sensation had the edge over an iPhone 4 that cemented my desire for one.

My gripe with the iPhone 4 was the crap where you could drop the signal by bridging the 2 antenna parts. Not so much that exactly but more apple's response of "just deal with it" that was enough on principle for me to look for another device.

I hoped the 5 was going to be a case redesign. Be interesting to see how people get on with the twin aerial thing.

I had 500quid in my head but should've known better really. I had kinda let my brain forget that my recent ipad cost 579

So it's 499 for a 16 gig, 599 for 32 and 699 for 64

It's 20 quid more of a jump per memory increase on the phone compared to the equivalent sized ipad. Grrr.

I guess I'll have a 'Scottish Spec' 32 gig(copyright Porkie 2011) rather than the full biffter. I refuse to spend 700 quid on a phone!

I've been using my ipad to listen to music and the battery lasts FOREVER with music on! It was on for 2 hours before moving off 100%.

Anyway, is the phone the same?

I was going to buy an ipod to replace my stolen one () for listening to on my bike etc but might as well use the phone if I have one.

I figure that when on my motorbike I could put the phone in aeroplane mode to save battery seeing as I cant take calls anyway.

Ref power when used as an iPod, I usually take the dog out to warm up, then do an hour in the gym, then do a 20 min jog down the promenade as a warm down and the phone rarely drops off 100% through all that. It is every bit as good as my 8gb ipod on power and significantly better if used in airplane mode, to the point that the iPod was relegated to the drawer and never used again.

 

Come on weight is just a minor thing mentioned, feel free to comment on all the other tests done you said they didn't live up to there spec you couldn't be more wrong really

Don't understand the video comparison one? What do you see better on the s2? Some people see a 'better' picture, I see an artificially over contrasted, colour saturated picture. A bit like a cheap tv where some are like.. Wow, it's so bright and vivid. Usually to the person with an eye for detail it looks artificial. Sort of like cheap samsung tv vs expensive Sony tv.

You've got me on speed, but it's not enough. And now the 4s is dual core and 8mp?

One of those videos demonstrates one of the biggest frustrations I had with my sensation. Where the bloke shows that both are on the same wifi, the s2 is an extra step.

My sensation was always 1 more step or one more menu when navigating. For instance browsing the net and you want to bring up your favourites.. On the iPhone just tap the favourites icon on the bottom bar. On the sensation, tap a virtual button to bring up a list of stuff, select favorites from that list then you get to see your favorites. Might not sound much but everything about the iPhone is simple and everything about the sensation was over fussy.

 

Then your both evidently on shit networks then, i get 4-5mbps download speeds over the phone, faster than some home broabands.

Im sat here watching youtube at 480p quality without it stopping to buffer

Regarding colour, some people think the S2 screen is over coloured, I think its personal choice, The screen tech on the s2 is the best you can get so far...

regarding the 4s, all it has done is catch up, for me the IPhone internet browsing was so shit slow it did my head in, as don't say whats a second or two if your home pc started slowing down you would be first to get frustrated.

Mouse and desktop GUI was invented by xerox, touch screen phone was invented HTC or (under brand name HP Ipaq), MP3 players came out well before the ipod, well I think they produced the Apple Newton or something which was like those things you have to sign for a DHL delivery, if my memory is correct Microsoft made the first non pointer tablet i don't think it made the market.

4-5mbps is " slowest internet ever " i dont even think virgin do less then 10mb now do they? so if you want to download a video or film or albums at 5mbps its like going back 3 years

 

it is a better picture look at the richmond st sign alot clearer on the s2, look at the sky colour alot clearer etc look for the little things as opposed to two big pictures
