you done a jailbreak with 2.2.1 using iTunes 8.2? Well done you - you have to be the only one that has somehow managed to get around Apples usb code changes then

and download the firmware file from a ftp server, and done, actually you dont need to go on with itunes at all.
dont see the hard part, and phone just pops up in itunes when you start that later after jailbroken. though dont tried to get the firmware from itunes when jailbroken as i dont see the point on that

ok, im confused a little, but then it is early, so let me off eh 
Latest i have read about JB 3.0 is that Quickpwn has found a couple of minor bugs in the new version and are ironing them out before releasing publicly. That was about 2 hours ago.
I reckon a Friday release, along with ultrasn0w

Everything seems to working fine (just waiting for JB now to get my other apps back on 
) but if I try to access youtube via the app I get Cannnot connect to youtube. Any ideas?

well updated mine at 3am this morn,
must say, it does respond MUCH faster, but is this because i now have 5 gig free space due to all my previous cydia apps been removed?????
still miffed about this mms not been able to work on the 2g,
guess i'll just have to wait until the JB gets released and try and find the app i was using before, for mms. (cant remember the name) but i also guess i'll have to pay $10 for it again as it will recognise my phone as a diferent phone now after the update??? oh SWIRLY MMS i think it was called, (anybody else use this>???)

Nah, i have never really used MMS, even before the iphone (believe it or not!)
You'll probably been jailbreaking it again tomorrow anyways as thats the possible release date for the new JB tools.
The 5GB of JB apps is a fair ol'size matey!!! You really use all those apps?
Mine never finished restoring till silly o'clock too, mainly because of all the songs going back on... and even then it chucked one album on all wrong, so i had to sort it all out again

Sussed it - the update had wiped the t-mobile APN Settings (General, Network, cellular data etc) which needs to be General.t-mobile.UK/ and user "wap" with password "user"

youtube works if i have a wirless conection, but not if am just on edge or GPRS (mnines 2G)

Ive just been on the quickpwn site again, no changes... but they have added an email subscription item to the top of their page so that when it is released, you'll receive an email notifying you of the release

Ive just tried the youtube with wifi turned off... I had no errors, but nothing loaded... well, not in the few minutes i waited for anything to load, whether it was most rated, search etc.... Just that silly loading screen thing.
Dunno :blink: A 3G issue?? 3G was always pants.

O2 sent me a message earlier stating that they apologise for the delay in MMS and that it's be sorted in a few hours. Within 30 seconds I had sent a pic to my missus's phone... O2 gone barmy??? At 6pm (3 hours after first text) I get one saying all is fixed. Lol, they've gone mad!!!
Quickpwn's iPhone site now states Jailbreak 3.0 coming real soon. Never said that earlier on. Friday tomorrow - Ultrasn0w release day. I reckon it'll all happen that day!

Quickpwn ain't ready yet! I wouldn't trust links posted on any forum yet, especially ones with the old version number in them!!!
At 4am I got an email saying that ultrasn0w is near completion, but JB 3.0 is not. Seems there's a flaw in the, wait for it.... YouTube app! That app is messing with JB tools because of something made wrong with it. Seems you lot now have a valid reason why your having problems with it.
They say they may release JB, if no full workaround is found, but YouTube.app won't work. Then they'll release an updated JB afterwards.
Maybe today/tonight
they also mentioned that apple may release an update of 3.0 soon which could reverse the ultrasn0w functions, so again, don't download or install anything until devteam and quickpwn say it's safe to do so.

Yellowsn0w is the old ultrasn0w. Basically it's a tool used to hack into the iPhones software to unlock it from it's tariff ie o2, so any sim card from any tariff company can be inserted and work ie T-Mobile, Orange etc

well only thing i can see a benefit from this 3.0 is the speed at which it reacts!!!! :@

I actually think that functuion is a complete waste of time! It might just be me tho....
The copy/paste lot is annoying, espescially when trying to scan thru these pages on here - the bloody thing keeps highlighting everything in blue lol
Still, im sure the 'app creators' will take full advantage of these new allowed features and really make some quality with them.
Still waiting on TomTom... thought that would be out straight away. Maybe they dont need the money?? lol

Just found something else which is pretty good. People have asked what tethering is and i gave a quick insight to it, but said that until the phones are JB'd, o2 will charge for it.... but this should help.
