Default laptops

come into a bit of money from doing alot of hours at work and I'm considering buying a laptop. It will be used for browsing the net and doing college work mostly, but may watch the occasional film on it or something when im out and about. Ive seen an acer one on tescos site that has a 12 inch screen for a very good price. Would this be too small for internet browsing and word processing etc as I'm attracted by how small it is so will be easier to carry in my bag at college. Or would I be better off with a standard 15.4 inch screened laptop instead?
Also forgot to add it wont be my main computer I have a quadcore beast for that

Cheers

no no and no. I dont have that much money! That laptop i was on about is 400 quid which would be the max i would spend. Plus not a fan of macs. I'd like one to muck around with for a bit of fun, but not to use all the time.

Eh

I dont even know if I'm definately going to buy one, as I said, just considering. Unfortunately no one has actually answered my question. Will a 12 inch screen be annoyingly small for what I want to use it for? If it would be I'd just look at normal size laptops instead

Stephen

Its all about personal preference. What I would do it drop into Pissy World and see if they have a 12" screen laptop on display.

Personally I cant get on with them which is why I have a 15" and 15.4" screened ones.

Been looking at tesco direct as they seem to have some cracking prices on laptops. Would there be something crucial discreetly missed out on them to make them cheaper though?

Not from what I have seen in my local tesco (helps to know the store number to get into the machine )

But go into PC World or the like and have a play with the 12" screen and see how you get on.

It will mainly used at college to do work on (their pcs are shocking) and probably used at home for the net and dowloading if i cant be arsed to lock myself in my room.

I want one that will be usualble for a while, the reason i am looking at ones with 2 gig of rand and some kind of dual core. Also, reason for that spec so its not too far behind my main PC speed wise, otherwise it woould annoy me
