All this talk of COD4 on playstation 3 makes it sound brilliant and i've been watching the clips on you tube. However, i've always found aiming difficult with those controller things and prefer first person shoot em ups on pc cos you can use the mouse and keyboard etc.

Am i right in thinking you can use a standard usb mouse on ps3?

and if so what's the Playstation 3 XFPS Rate Up Keyboard/Mouse Adapter type thing for?

 

Buy one and get used to the pad wont take too long . I think you can use a normal keyboard with the ps3

 

I just think the pad is not as accurate and also takes longer to line the shot up.

With a mouse you can change the speed at which the cross hair moves by moving your hand quicker

I'm planning one getting one soon for our son. Might be a bit tricky justifying it at the moment though seeing as he isn't even born yet and also he might actually be a girl which could scupper my argument.

cod4 doesnt support keyboard and mouse. ive not tried it thats just what i read.

i would imagion you would have to have a decent PC set up for COD to Run smoothly?

 

not really, as far as PC games go it's not that advanced

 

I've never really been that into games but I bought the PS3 last week as my mates all play online and Im hooked on it now - got GTA4 & Gran Turismo 5 with it, GTA4 hasnt even been opened and Gran Turismo was played for about a minute before COD4 went back in - it is the b*ll*cks!

When i had a go on a FPS on the ps3 its like a games in itself just trying to get the cross hair where you want it, by which time you've been shot at and someone else is shooting you from another direction it proper pissed me off after a short amount of time.

 

id get it mate!!

I used to hate FPS on console as i preffered using the mouse and keyboard. But I've now gotten used to it and find it just about as easy only down side is its slightly slower than using mouse and keyboard.

But as said you can get round this by buying a keyboard and mouse for the ps3
