Default F.A.O TV techie people .........

Bit off topic but need to know the answer to a TV question.

Connectig my PS2 to my TV for the best picture quality possible whats the best way? (TV just normal TV not a fancy plasma or anything )

Playstation - S-video cable
Playstation - Euro scart cable
Playstation - std playstation AV cable

Cheers for any info

S - Video is better than Scart, but does Picture only, so you will need an Optical out for the sound

Surround when playing games is the bollox

Check your TV, or Stereo has an Optical in, either digital or Coax...

Cheers guys

So i buy this and plug into the S-video socket in my TV and the white and red audio plugs into my front sockets on my TV and should still get sound through the TV yeah ???

I might have one somewhere, hold fire, let me check 2morro. I deffo got one S- Vid lead, but it might be for the Xbox.

Otherwise the linked one will do. Try to get one with Gold Connectors

Doh! Forgot about sound, but I use optical lead into surround sound now TT has mentioned it.

I used to do that prior to having SS, still better than sound through the TV
